I see Andy Burnham (Greater Manchester Mayor) has also been re-elected, with a similar 60+ percent of the vote.

I don't believe in coincidences - but the ever unpopular Khan in London has been re-voted in, Rotherham won with 3/8ths of the electorate which had just a quarter turn out.

Sadiq may be unpopular with the motoring fraternity (be a surprise if he wasn't, lol). But with a re-election result like that, is an obvious hit with the public!

His name is Rotheram. There is no 'h' before the 'am' at the end.

Steve Rotheram re-elected as Liverpool City Region Mayor

And as long as he keeps wearing his red rosette, he'll win a 4th, and 5th election, until he decides to retire, then the next donkey who wears the red rosette will be elected...

It's the same with Police and Crime Commissioner. Emily Spurrell voted in again, stick a red rosette on a jenny, and they'll be voted in..

Agree, a monkey with a red rosette would win. Two unnecessary levels of bureaucracy which do nothing but waste money

All the other candidates were more unpopular!

If you didn't have a mayor you would have a full council of god knows how many on god knows how much.
